We are Cecília and Mercè and we are sisters.

Apart from that family link we also share the pleasure of painting silk.

We started painting in 1995, in a self-taught way. We liked painting so much that we spent more and more time on it, every day. Little by little we learnt the techniques for painting silk.

Silk has something special that you can appreciate at first glance. This fabric is a nature gift. That’s why the colours that are applied to it and also the way that silk receives light make it having something magic.

Little by little, what started as a hobby for us became our lifestyle.

We have spent these years doing craftwork.

Our mother transmitted us the patchwork passion. She has been doing patchwork since many years, and we used to sew and perform patchwork with different fabrics.

Some time ago she asked us to paint some silk for one of her projects and the results were very beautiful. In 2006 we found out about our own revelation: We could paint silk for patchwork!

From then, we got totally involved in this world and started to learn more and more, as well.

Maybe because we come from different businesses, our creations have always a different perspective.
